Busou Shoujotai: Blade Briders The Animation

Humanity was attacked by aliens who appeared through wormholes in the late twenty-first century. They were powerless to resist them and had to accept their impending death. An ultimate weapon capable of creating stuff out of thin air was discovered in a vast cave beneath Japan at the time, along with its young master Ryuusei, who was in cryostasis. He was reawakened by the indiscriminate extraterrestrial onslaught, and he led the humans to a resounding triumph. Ryuusei was appointed as the commander of the newly formed Defence Force of Earth, which was founded to combat against space invaders, a year later, when the places damaged by the aliens were still being rebuilt. He was the only one who could utilize the ‘imagination embodiment gadget,’ though. If something were to happen to him, the entire world would be destroyed. As a result, the Earth Defense Force started to recruit girls who could fight alongside him. Despite their initial reluctance, they each had their own motivations for joining Ryuusei. As a result, the special force known as the ‘Blade Briders’ was developed to guard the Earth against the returning aliens.
